Nearly Fluent is for adults (18+) who want to practise languages with people nearby. Everyone agrees to these when they join.

1. Be kind and patient. Everyone is learning.
2. Keep it about languages and meeting up safely.
3. Meet in public places for first conversations.
4. No spam, no selling, no harassment.
5. Not a dating app: no romantic or sexual advances.
6. Respect a no. If someone declines or does not reply, move on.
7. Use Report on a profile or table if something is wrong. We review reports within 48 hours.

Staying safe

• Meet somewhere public, such as a café or pub, for first conversations.
• Your email is never shown to other members. You chat in the app until you choose to share more.
• We only ever show your area, never your address.
• Anyone who breaks these guidelines may be suspended.
